Welcome to the Sacramento Comitium of the Legion of Mary.

The Legion is here to help you learn more about Jesus, to love Him and to serve Him with great devotion through Our Mother Mary.

The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members and developed by prayer and active co-operation in Mary's and the Church's Evangelizing work of crushing the head of the serpent and advancing the reign of Christ, under ecclesial guidance.

The Legion of Mary is open to all Catholics who faithfully practice their religion, who are animated by the desire to participate in the Church's evangelistic mission through membership in the Legion, and who are prepared to fulfill each and every duty which active membership in the Legion involves.

The works of Legionaries are for the benefit of the young and old, the rich and poor, the marginalized, people of any religion, and people who profess no faith and are primarily directed toward Spiritual Works of Mercy as opposed to material aid.

The Legion of Mary is a lay Catholic association whose members are giving service to the Church, on a voluntary basis, all over the world.  It was founded in Dublin, Ireland, on 7 September, 1921 by Frank Duff and is celebrating its centenary in 2021.  Three of its members are currently being advanced through the Church toward Sainthood.

At present, it numbers about 4 million active members in over 160 countries and is the largest lay evangelizing organization in the Catholic Church.  The official handbook of the Legion has been published in at least 50 languages.
